Everbody's waiting for next-gen consoles, so we are. In E3 2019 Microsoft officially revealed their next-gen console Xbox Scarlett and has given us the release date of 2020 holidays alongside Halo Infinite but we still don't know the exact date while Sony has made many confirmations about PS5, its specs and all but hasn't officially talked about the release date yet. Talking about the specs both consoles will support 8k 60fps gaming and 120 fps gaming on 4k resolution. Which is kinda unbelievable but true as it is officially confirmed. Even the powerful graphics card like GTX 1080 can't reach 120 fps at 4k. AMD is making custom GPU and CPU for these consoles to deliver the best performance possible. Xbox Scarlett will have AMD CPU based on Zen 2 7nm and Navi GPU which will have a power of 10/11 teraflops. According to developers who have received Dev kits for both consoles, they are saying that PS5 is more powerful than the Xbox Scarlett which will have about 13/14 teraflops power which is slightly more than the Xbox Scarlett. Xbox Scarlett will support backwards compatibility for all the previous gen consoles while PS5 will be backwards compatible for PS4 games only. PS5 will support 3d audio, Even if you don't have 7.1 surround sound headphones it'd still give you a great experience. Both the consoles will support super-fast SSDs which is crucial for hardware like this. CPU will have 8 cores 16 threads for both the consoles. PS5 will have CPU clocked at 3.5 GHz while Xbox will have CPU clocked at 3.2 GHz. Both the consoles will support Ray Tracing which is the future of gaming and makes games look better. Disc Support is also confirmed in PS5. What they have not spoken about is Release Date, Price, User Experience, Games, and Country rollout. They've kept in mind the loading screens and in next-gen consoles, we'll see almost no loading screens. Marvel's Spiderman which was released last year exclusively for PS4 was tested in the developer-kit of the PS5 and it showed that the console was able to load the massive open-world environment of the game in less than one second as opposed to the 15 seconds it takes to load on the PS4 Pro. This is absolutely incredible. Spiderman is an open-world graphics intensive game and puts the PS4 on work and with that result, we can speculate that the PS5 is going to be 10 times more powerful than the base PS4 and PS4 Pro. They're gonna be future proof but the main concern is price. It is gonna be reasonable according to its features as they make profit with their memberships and exclusive titles also. It will be around $500 or $600. Some games like Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2, Death Stranding has been confirmed for PS5 which will run at better resolution and framerate.
