The price of Playstation 5. Well, that's the only thing in everybody's mind after knowing the specs. So, before predicting the price of ps5 we need to know the launch price of previous generation consoles. The original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 were launched at $299. The PS3 launched at $499 which was kinda overpriced and the PS4 launched at $399. The PS4 became a success by undercutting the Xbox One at launch with its $399 price tag. And it's obvious to guess that PS5 price will be more than PS4 and PS3. There was a leak which suggests that ps5 price will be affordable and it will sit around 450 to 860 euro. 

Sony's chief financial officer Hiroki Tokoki said himself. He said, It's the most important step in developing the PlayStation platform. The profitability of PS5, of course, depends on its price. The bigger the markup, the bigger the profit for shareholders but if it would've a higher price point gamers will decide to hold on to its current-gen consoles. They may decide to wait a little longer. Hiroki explained that Sony is analyzing the cost, the acceptable price in the market and platform penetration. And this indicates that Sony may launch PS5 at an affordable price which will boost the console at launch instead of leaving gamers stick to their PS4. He also said that Sony is very conscious of the level of profit for investors and the marketplace.

Will there be a PRO version?
Two consoles launching on the same day can be a possibility. One can be a base version and one a pro version. The base version could be an affordable option for the majority of people and the pro version can be an expensive one. Maybe the pro model will be the one which will support 8k 60fps gaming and the base model will support 4k 60fps gaming. Well, we're not sure as no such thing is confirmed.

Should there be two models?
Of course, there should be two models so that folks will have an option to select from both. Not many people will be interested if the console will be expensive so there should be a base model which the majority can afford.

Our Opinion
According to us, keeping in mind the specs, PS5 can sit around $500 to $800 and it would be great if the base model launches for $500 or under that which we are not expecting. First, We should look at the features they are offering like Ray Tracing, 4k 120 fps, SSD support. We really don't think so that it will be affordable enough as plenty of powerful features are included in it. But Sony will try its best to do the cost-cutting where necessary. We hope for the best.
