Just because you're stranded inside your house due to coronavirus outbreak doesn't mean that you have nothing to play. We got your back and we're here to share with you our list of games which you shouldn't miss while sitting in quarantine. These games are long and their well-developed stories will keep you engaged. We included multi-platform games, no exclusives are included so that you can enjoy as per the platform you play games on. Games on this list are long enough so that you can put in enough hours and don't get bored.
1) Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
The Game of the Year 2019 winner had to be on this list as it is long and will keep you engaged. Sekiro was released last year and it comes from the developer of Dark Souls, FromSoftware. If you don't like SoulsBorne type games and you get frustrated easily, still you have to try this because it's amazing and it won Game of the Year for a reason. It's a hella tough game, in such a manner that people have demanded an easy mode so that less skilled players can also play. It's a piece of art and you shouldn't miss it.
2) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Witcher 3 is great in many different ways. If you like RPG games and you liked Skyrim, you shouldn't miss this one at any cost. It is available on every platform now including Nintendo Switch. In my opinion, it is by far the best RPG ever made. The story is brilliant, the open-world is realistic and beautiful and every character has his own aura. With the hair works on and at maximum graphics quality, the game looks breathtaking despite being released in 2015. The music fits perfectly with every scene and it makes it even more astounding. What are you waiting for if you haven't played it?
3) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
It's an old game but for an RPG gamer, it never gets old. If you haven't played any RPG game yet, then this is where you should start. It's a great RPG for beginners and the tutorials will tell you about every tactical obstacle you can face and you should give extra attention to the tutorials to learn the mechanics. You can pretty much play this like any open-world game. Skyrim is our second favorite because first is Witcher 3. You can literally put thousands of hours in this game. The lore within this game increases playtime and even after playing for thousands of hours, you can find new ones that are unknown to you previously.
4) Red Dead Redemption 2
This game literally needs no introduction. A masterpiece Rockstar has created. This game is capable to stand alongside masterpieces like the Witcher 3, Skyrim, Metal Gear Solid 3, Half-Life 2, etc. The best looking game ever made so far. It'll attach you to characters and even your horse in no time. You must give it a go.
5) Fallout 4
This is a great game, I know many people will complain about Fallout but the 4th installment has better action and gunplay than its predecessors. The character models are lacking but the landscape looks gorgeous. The story is good and contains many twists too. You can give it a go without thinking twice.
6) Batman Arkham Asylum
If you're new to the Batman Arkham series then this is the game to start with. And there's a reason why we haven't listed Batman Arkham Knight and listed this instead. The answer is simple, Arkham Knight lacks in boss fights and even the story feels mediocre. The main story follows Scarecrow and Arkham Knight who plans to drown the Gotham city in fear of toxin and unmask Batman. Arkham Asylum's story revolves around Joker which makes it even more interesting.
7) Far Cry 5
Several people complained about its story but you're not everyone, you can have your own perspective and views after completing the game. I liked the story of Far Cry 5 very much. Apart from the story, It's good in many ways. It has a big and beautiful open-world set in Montana. The gameplay is extremely fun and many fun elements have added to the game to enjoy it to its fullest. It's one of the best Far Cry out there but if you haven't played Far Cry 3, then you can add it to your list also. It also has a good storyline and fun elements. You can also play co-op with your friend or multiplayer.
8) Mad Max
If you don't wanna ruin the fun by solving puzzles and grinding in RPG, you can try this one out. This is not a difficult game but comes out with a tremendous combat system. Despite being released in 2015, this is still one of the best open-world action game. It has a good looking desert atmosphere and combat, explosions and fire look very realistic. Insane boss fights make it even more badass and it is an overall badass game.
9) Quantum Break
It is a science fiction action-adventure game developed by Remedy. Developers who made Control which was Game of the Year 2019 nominee. This game is more like a movie portrayed in a game. It's a nice experience with choices at points and the movie element in this game is commendable. Combat is also nice and slow-motion feels satisfying. This is 100% recommended from our side.
10) SOMA
It is a survival horror game developed by Frictional Games (devs responsible for Amnesia). When I completed it last year, I had no idea what to expect and the story blew me away. It's scary at the same time also and this is a unique experience that you won't get from any other game. The atmosphere is dark and mysterious where you can't predict what next can happen. It makes you think a little bit also to progress and you shouldn't miss it at any cost. This game is 10/10 from our side.
